Public Projects

The Project consists of constructing approximately 5,200 feet of 12-inch water line and all appurtenances. The estimate cost for construction is $1,915,000.

Complete all surveying, geotechnical investigation, permitting, planning, and design required to submit a complete set of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) package to construct improvements along Fern Way Road, Reservoir Road, Holly Road, Ivy Road, Sourwood Road, Pine Grove Road, Magnolia Road, Willow Lane, Treatment House Road, Mountain View Road and Rhododendron Road, Pool Parking Lot, Group Lodge Parking Lot and Aldridge Parking Lot. The project consists of designing permanent repairs needed to existing roadways, culverts, stream channels, parking lots and bridges that washed away due to Helene throughout the Christmount Christian Assembly campus.

The work will consist of the construction of a new groundwater well on a 1-acre site on Brick Chimney Road with supporting equipment to support drilling to the Charleston Aquifer at an approximate depth of 1,200 feet. The well will include a pump capable of delivering 500 GPM and be supported by Variable Frequency Drive controllers, asphalt and gravel access, associated drainage, site fencing, piping, valves, electrical and SCADA/Control system, and appurtenances as well as a chlorination system housed in a prefabricated concrete building. The well will connect to the existing 10” waterline along Brick Chimney Road.

Demolition of abandoned building and ACM contaminated components.

Construction of proposed permeable pavers at the intersection of Roland Avenue and South Shore Drive, which will reduce flooding on South Shore Drive. The proposed infiltration system includes approximately 315 linear feet of 15” RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe), five (5) standard NCDOT traffic bearing drop inlets, approximately 442 square yards of permeable pavers, traffic control, and minor utility relocations.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, construction of approximately 3,185 L.F. of 30-inch diameter and 200 L.F. of 24-inch diameter finished water transmission main and appurtenances, and approximately 100 L.F. of 48-inch diameter encasement pipe by trenchless methods.

The Project consists of constructing improvements to the aeration basin, orbal aeration basin, three (3) secondary clarifiers, sludge thickening basin, sludge filter press process, emergency back-up generator along with all associated site work, piping, structural, electrical work, and demolition of facilities no longer needed.

The consultant will complete all surveying, planning, and design required to submit a complete set of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) package to construct improvements along NC 16 (North Broome Street) from North Church Street to NC 75 and construct an eastbound left turn lane at the intersection of NC 75 and NC 16. The project consists of Improvements along NC 16 including widening to a 3-lane section, sidewalks and upgrading pedestrian facilities. The project will add an eastbound left turn lane along NC 75 at the NC 75/ NC 16 intersection.

The Project consists of constructing approximately 940 linear feet of 2-inch water mains, 10 linear feet of 6-inch water mains, 10,420 linear feet of 8-in water mains, 3,510 linear feet of 12-in water mains and related appurtenances on S Potter Rd, Tom Greene Rd, Tom Starnes Rd, and Public Drive off Tom Starnes Rd.

The work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a new, two-story, fully sprinkled, 146,650 square foot building addition located on the existing Lambs Elementary School (6800 Dorchester Rd, North Charleston, North Charleston, SC 29418).
